Five minutes of physical can be valuable in late-stage lung cancer: Study

A study led by Curtin University found that individuals with incurable forms of lung cancer may survive longer by engaging in less than five minutes of physical activity per day. The study monitored the daily activities of 89 patients with incurable lung cancer and compared the mortality rates after 12 months. Those who engaged in more than 4.6 minutes per day of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity had a 60% lower risk of mortality compared to the less active group. The findings suggest that healthcare providers should consider the level of physical activity in managing inoperable lung cancer.
