Hard landing: Japan firm fails in historic Moon bid

Japanese start-up ispace failed in its first attempt to land on the Moon with its Hakuto-R Mission 1 lander. Communications were lost during the descent and it is believed to have crashed on the lunar surface. However, ispace CEO and founder Takeshi Hakamada said the firm was committed to move ahead with new missions, developing two attempts to land on the lunar surface.

Nasa's 1st moon crew in 50 years includes 1 woman, 3 men

The three Americans and one Canadian will be the first to fly Nasa's Orion capsule, launching atop a Space Launch System rocket from Kennedy Space Center no earlier than late 2024.
